Fayola Lucille Batson
Fayola Lucille Batson, 61, Elwood, went to be with the Lord at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005. She was born January 29, 1944, to Boyd Teal and Violet Teal Nash of Roy, Mo. Fayola and husband, Marvin Batson, have pastored Elwood Full Gospel for over 20 years and they have operated Batson Dog and Archery Supplies since 1963. Fayola also enjoyed painting pictures and blessing people with them. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Marvin Batson; two sons, Marvin Batson, Jr., and wife, Sandy, and Jeffrey Batson and wife, Susan, Springfield; three granddaughters, Kayla, Jordan, Kasey; mother, Violet Nash; two brothers, Raymond Teal and Rodney Nash. Fayola was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Teal; father, Boyd Teal; and step-father, Clell Nash. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2005, in Elwood Full Gospel Church with Rev. Faye Yates officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church Steeple Fund in her honor.
